Who We Are

Abundant Life Child Care & Preschool was started by The Father’s House Church in 1997 out of a desire to be faithful stewards of what God had blessed us with and to serve our community well. With a large facility and a heart to meet real needs, the church began looking for ways to utilize its resources to make a meaningful impact. At that time, quality childcare was a significant need in Reno County — and ALCP was born.

For nearly three decades, ALCP has been a leading caregiver in Reno County, serving thousands of families and employing hundreds of early childhood professionals.

In 2020, when COVID disrupted childcare across the region, ALCP stepped forward as a bridge to other Reno County providers. We worked closely with the Community’s COVID Response Team to help create reopening plans and stabilize childcare operations throughout the county.

That season catalyzed deeper collaboration. In response to the growing childcare crisis, community leaders formed the Reno County Child Care Task Force (RCCTF)(www.renocountychildcare.com) to address accessibility for families, sustainability for providers, and workforce recruitment and retention challenges. ALCP has been instrumental in those efforts — not only strengthening our own center but helping providers and families across Reno County navigate industry-wide challenges.

One of the RCCTF’s most innovative initiatives was the creation of a new 501(c)(3), Kids Collective (www.kidscollectiveks.com), developed as a data-backed sustainability model to support long-term childcare viability in Reno County.

ALCP was one of two organizations that agreed to pilot this model. As of September 1, 2025, ALCP officially became one of the first Kids Collective locations.

After more than 30 years of The Father’s House Church owning and operating a childcare center independently, the Board recognized both a community and spiritual truth: more can be accomplished through unity and collaboration than any one organization can achieve alone.

We believe this partnership represents the future of childcare in our community. We are honored to help pave a new way forward and are confident that the leadership of Kids Collective will continue to ensure safe, high-quality care for Reno County children for generations to come.
